Having problems with my Curve 9300, battery is not lasting longer than 4 or 5 hours. Bought a new battery and charged it for 12 hours before using, same problem, battery lasting 4 or 5 hours. Thought it was the new battery so bought another one with the same problems again, so guess it is not the battery but must be a problem with the phone itself.
The phone is 15 months old so not under warranty anymore. It freezes with the black square clock in the middle of the screen, it also shuts off and won't turn on, I then take out the battery and put it back in and it reboots.
The above problems have been happening for a few weeks now...any suggestions on what I should do. I don't really want to take it in to Telus and have it sent out to be checked unless I absolutely have to...so would appreciate any suggestions at all that may help me.

1. Make sure you close ALL applications not in current use by clicking Menu > Close or Exit in the application.
2. Make sure you do not have Memory Cleaner enabled (Options > Security > Memory Cleaner).
3. Make sure you do not leave the browser running in the background on an active webpage.
4. Turn off Bluetooth and WiFi when not using it.
There are many more tips here:

Memory Cleaner is not enabled.
Bluetooth and WiFi are not on, only use Bluetooth when driving and always turn it off.
Browser is not running in the background on an active webpage.
Phone was fine until a few weeks ago, the battery would last at least a day or a bit more than that, now I am lucky if I get 4 hours out of it.
