Curve 9315/9320 Calendar and Emai

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I have two questions, hoping both can be answered!
1. I have my gmail calendar linked to my phone but i have add ons to my calendar (friends calendars) I would also like to see in the calendar, is there anyway to see those add ons to my calendar and not only see my MAIN calendar

2. I have a gmail email (No suppise), now i go to set up my gmail calendar i get it all set up and everything works, then suddenly after i get out of set up it says its not able to get emails, and sync and i need to validate, so i do but it goes in the same pattern over and over! Is there anyway to fix that? now i had two step set up on but i turnned it off knowing i couldnt add my email with two step on

When i set it all up i get this message from Blackberry " Your _____@gmail.com email messages are not being delivered to your blackberry device. to recieve your email messages, turn on the IMAP settings for all mail in your _____@gmail.com account. After you turn on the IMAP setting for all mail, you must validate your account on your blackberry device"

But, i checked IMAP settings are on for all accounts, and i have validate it multiple times over a week period! And since i cant validate nothing get synced, my calendar, contacts, or email

With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):

1) Register HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
  • Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app

2) Delete and Resend Service Books

  • KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
  • If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
  • KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

3) Reboot

  • With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
  • See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

Also, inside of the GMail web interface, make sure that only IMAP is active...make sure that POP is disabled.

Good luck!

Did you go to SETUP > Emails > Gmail > check boxes you want to sync and then enter password > save. Wait a few minutes and it should sync. Mine suddenly dropped my google calendar too. I fought for days in a panic.. I finally realized that I hadn't re entered my password and clicked save.

If you already deleted your gmail accounts from the BB, did a reboot, and then re installed them, and you have done a backup, factory reset, and then reloaded your BB.. I give up. Best of luck. If you do resolve this issue, please post how. I'd love to know!
