Curve 9320 problem

Recently I bought the 9320 and it was running fine up until the 3/4th week of having it now, the phone now has adopted 4 problems : 1.) when I take a photograph it will not save into my picture album for a long period of time 2.) when I reboot my phone a bbm contact will pop up with a message that was sent and read hours earlier( it seems as if the bbm went back in time completely) it also would turn my personal message into 1 that I previously made hours earlier 3.) when trying to search for songs when in my music library it appears with no results; this never used to happen!!!! 4.) when I appear to click on the browser application, it will take a while to load but I can click on to other apps after clicking the browser one and they will be instant!! All these problems happened to a previous 9320 I purchased but I took back as a faulty! Anyone got advice? Thankyou

Re: Curve 9320 problem

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

You may also want to attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior ceases in Safe Mode, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.

Good luck and let us know!
Best!

Re: Curve 9320 problem

Thank you so much I found out what the reason for two of these problems was and that was my memory card somehow contained a bug/virus. This was great advice and this will be my first precaution whenever something on my phone goes wrong.
