Curve 9360 with slow trackpad

I took the phone to a mobile repair shop in town as the trackpad is very slow to work.  He told me that it should be able to be fixed free by BlackBerry as it is such a new model - how do I go about this?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

BlackBerry provides zero front line support to end users, including warranty...all support starts with the carriers, authorized resellers, and authorized service centers, all who can escalate cases into RIM at no charge to the end user. So if you indeed are under warranty, you need to check your original purchase documentation to see what your specific warranty provisions are as well as how you go about exercising it. If you don't have your documentation, check with your original place of purchase to see if they have records to help you.

 

BlackBerry indeed extends a 1-year manufacturers warranty, but that is serviced first by others (as described above). Further, the actual contract you entered into upon purchase may have altered the standard warranty provided by BlackBerry -- in which case your contract would override what BlackBerry normally provides.
