Re: Curve shutting down

In general terms the larger the resolution the more detailed the picture is (not as grainy). Also the file size is larger .

So a pic has a resolution at 1600x1200, it will have a lot of detail, but a larger file size (I just checked mine, and one pic is 558kb)

But a pic taken at 640x480 , won't have as much detail (may appear a little grainer), but a smaller file size as a result (One of my smaller pics is78kb)

That make sense?

Re: Curve shutting down

I myself like Large. But I don't send a lot from my phone. When I do send it though I just get the arrows in the corner showing that it's working or sending it out. I'm still able to navigate around and do other things while it does that in the background.

Re: Curve shutting down

The audio will usually bounce out after a MMS.  To fix this, remove the battery and reinstall.  This is a known issue with the curve.  As far as the powering off, I would return it to Verizon and get a new one.  You have a one year mfg warranty to cover you aganist things like this, as long as there is no physical damage.  If you don't want to return it, I would back up your contacts ONLY, wipe the device to bring back to factory settings and restore your contacts.

Re: Curve shutting down

JM and Bifocals  - thank you so much for all your time in this.  I will check back tomorrow and see if any more thoughts - I really hate to take it back to Verizon.  I heard tht they give you refurbished.  Tx again  (bifocals- Tx- thanks!)
