Curve v9360 frequently reboots when roaming

When ever I travel from Canada to the US the phone is frequenlty rebooting.  Having wifi on of off makes no differance.  Having data roaming on or off makes no differance.  Any ideas for a fix??

Hello ShaunS and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

 

To clarify, your device only reboots when you are roaming from your Canadian carrier? 

 

Does your device display any error when it reboots? If so, what is that error? 

 

If you were to turn off all connections - data, mobile network, Bluetooth and WiFi does the device still reboot?

Only beboots when out of Canada (ie in US).  Reoccurs even if wifi off and roaming data is off, but network of course is on and set to automatic network selection.

If you were to change the Network Selection to select the network you are roaming on rather than automatic, does it still reboot?

Do you have access to a computer with Desktop Software installed should a software reload need to be performed?

will try suggestions re: network selection.. Already tried reboot after last trip but clearly didn't help

Do you have computer access and a USB cord should you need to reinstall the device software?

Yes, but will try the manual connect next time I travel and see if that fixes things. Otherwise will try something else. Makes sense?

Sure does.

Also, should the issue persist you could contact your mobile provider to open a support ticket with BlackBerry support to further investigate. That way we can get up to date logs on this issue so we can prevent it from reoccurring.

went to manual connect to network instead of automatic.  3 days in New York City and NO reboots.  This seems to have solved the problem, thanks.

Will let you know if problem reoccurs on future trips.
