Curve wifi

[ Edited ]

Hi got a curve 8520 few days ago and I am having some trouble connecting to mi wifi network.

I can configure the profile and join my router normally  but the browser always comes up with ¨unable to find the requested server¨

I have no data plan but still wifi should work on its own, the wifi icon is grey and the strangest thing is that sometimes the browser actually works and stops working for no apparent reason.

When I go to manage connections wifi is on, it displays my network ssid but it is not green checked.

Please help, this is really annoying.

(i ve tried reseting the phone, deleting network, using only hotspot browser, turn off roaming data services....no vpn profile configured though)

THX

Re: Curve wifi

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Try the WI-FI diagnostics tool and read the link on firewall and connection requirements to see if you can diagnose the problem.

Thanks,

Re: Curve wifi

Hi, thx for posting!

Yes I have restarted my router a couple of times without results....do you meant reseting to default settings ???

Also I get no firewall in wifi diagnostics (advanced) .

Any more ideas? THX

Re: Curve wifi

Hi,

The link on the firewall considerations was not the same as the WI-FI link.

It references device settings, it is not part of the WI-FI diagnostics test.

Thanks,

Re: Curve wifi

Hi,

The test results look like the basic test was run which provides far less information. Try running the advanced options as indicated in my first post.

Thanks,
