Your probably getting double messages becuase your set up for BIS AND BES.
BES - you'll have to wipe the device and then things wont work the way you think they should anyway!.
BIS - click on Email Settings Icon and delete the account thats being duplicated (ie your BES email address).
Email settings icon (or the carrier website) is for BIS only, not BES uses.
BES users use the Enterprise Activation icon - or under the Options menu).
