Things did seem much better the last couple of days and then I *just* got an email on my BB to my gmail account that was 50 minutes late.

I have been experiencing this for the last couple of days that gmail is delayed for some time or not delivered at all. Usually it comes in buches, some of which are delayed couple of hr some arnd an hour.
what could be wrong? the Service provider resent service books etc and they dont see anyhing wrong with the network, however, some other clients have called in and experiences the same problem.
this is in Latvia.

The steps you describe do not sound exactly like these, hence I recommend that with a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), you take the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support and potential escalation up to BB if warranted. Also realize that the problem could be at Google, which means that pretty much no one can gain assistance (have you ever tried to reach a human at Google Support? Pretty much impossible.)

thanks for the opinion but tried this already twice and doesnt change a thing. my provider (BITE IN LATVIA) doesnt see anything wrong either with the network. they say that they have escalated this to blackberry but this will take too much time and most likely will have no real solution. eventhough i am not the only customer experiencing this kind of problem with gmail emails on blackberry lately in this network. this is legacy devices, friend of mine with q10 doesnt have this problem with gmail. anyone else with suggestions?

In my company we have a same problem like augusts
Email which are on google servers have a delay more than 1 hour.
I spoke with our mobile phone operator (Globul Bulgaria) and with google support, but they told me that no have problem.
I've try to make a master reset of the phone, to delete and add all mail acounts and the delay is continues.
I try a diferent network (mobile, mobile in roaming, Wi-Fi ) and stil no effect.
