Delayed Voice Mail Alerts BlackBerry Storm 9550

For about a month I have received Voice Mail alerts hours, days, or sometimes not at all (and find several missed messages piggybacked in VM). I don't know if this is a BlackBerry issue, or if I should contact Verizon Wireless.


It seems to happen when I'm using e-mail or am online, and I have no idea that there is an incoming call (often more important than what I'm doing).  Yesterday, I received a call at 8:30 a.m., and got a new message alert at 2:20 p.m.  It was an important business call.  This has happened numerous times lately.  Do I need to change a setting on my device, or...?  I've had the phone for almost two years, and this is a fairly recent problem.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Regardless of the root cause of the issue, your only formal channel for support is via VZW. They are responsible for all of your formal support, and will escalate cases into RIM if they cannot resolve it.

But, VM services are all part of your voice services; they are not related to your BB-level services. So contacting VZW would remain the proper path. However, as a prior VZW customer, I can attest that all too often VM notifications go all wonky with them.
