Delays when sending BBM's

Over the past 24 or so hours I was presented with a red timer icon when sending a BBM. This happened on every message I sent and to whomever I sent it to. 

The icon eventually changed to the normal sequence of a check mark, D and R.


Tried finding information on this icon and it was indeed frustrating. Closest I could come to was "Pending Action" which seemed appropriate.

Called my carrier for support.... no problems on the network but they couldn't find another solution for me or direct me where I should go for help.


A few minutes after completing this call it seems to be working fine again. Co-incidence?? Not sure and still don't know any more than previously.  



Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions as to where I can go to find more info?
