Deleting Email Account / Internet&Wi-Fi Questions

Hello, today I went to ATT to turn off my data plan on my Blackberry Bold and the representative told me that I needed to make sure to delete my email account because i would be charged per kilobyte for use (or something of that nature). He also said the charge per use applies to the browser, and I would assume any apps that access the internet.

-Well my question is, one, how exactly do I delete my email account. I went to email setup but could never get past the opening page. It kept saying "requesting" but would never load.

-And two, can I not access the internet and email through a wi-fi connection for free? When I click on the browser, or and app that requires the internet (ex Facebook), it either comes up with an error message, or the "requesting" issue from above.
