Deleting text

Is there a way to delete a group of texts i have a lot stored and do not want to have to delete one by one.  Thanks

You can highlight the first one and press left cap hold it down and roll the trackball down the list to when last one you want to delete, the hit the delete arrow on the right side of the keyboard, and it will do a gang delete.

could you also tell me, when you delete a text does it wipe it off the phone for good or does it go somewhere else and store it........thanks
