Desktop 6.0

Needs some help.  I upgraded to the 6.0 desktop software back in September.  I have noticed that each time a back up sms texts are removed.  For instance, my last backup was 11/23/10 and now I only have sms messages from 11/1/10 on everything prior to that was removed.  I have looked for a setting to discontinue this automatic removal or the ability to change the date but have not been able to locate this setting.

Can anyone help.  I need my sms text message to stay on my phone as often times I have gate codes, lock box codes and so forth that I need to reference among other things.

Re: Desktop 6.0

Backups in Desktop Manager do not remove SMS text messages.

You could have a setting on your BlackBerry to only save the messages for a certain amount of time.

Messages > Options > Keep Messages and set for alonger period of time.

SECONDLY: Don't keep VITAL information in SMS text messages. Never.

Copy the important stuff over to a Memo/Memopad or Password Keeper, even better.

You could at least press SAVE on the SMS text message to save it.

But if it is that VITAL, you should protect the information better, yourself.
