I have the same issue. I tried just connecting my Bold 9700 without performing any activities like synchronization, then tried to exit. I get the message that the app is trying to exit but doesn't complete. I am running WIndows 7 Home edition.

Try this ... right lick on the BB icon on your desktop - go to the compatability tab and change compatability mode to xp service pack 2, then go to shortcut and set to always run as administrator. This worked for me.

That worked fine and I can load and close the app BUT when I try and Synchronize the app cycles endlessly with the following message:
"One Moment Please"
Any further suggestions?
