Desktop Software 4.7 - 8350i - No email options

I'm trying to remove the signature on my Curve 8350i and I need to do it with the Desktop Software 4.7 which came with the phone because the signature cannot be edited or deleted on the phone itself.

The technical support says to click "email options" on the desktop software but I only have the following options...

"Application Loader"

"Media"

"Back Up and Restore"

"Syncronize"

"Device Switch Wizard"

 

Any help?

Email signature can be set on your blackberry. There is no need in BB Desktop Manager for this task.

 

Open Email application on your Blackberry (Messages)

 

Open menu and select "Options"

 

Select "Email settings"

 

Set "Use auto-signature" to NO

 

save and exit

Email settings, on the phone itself, are as follows...

Message Services:

Enable HTML Email

Download Images Automatically

Confirm Delivery

Confirm Read

Send Read Receipts

In cases your email signature is set on your BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) account - do the following:

 

  1. Login to you BIS site for your wireless provider. If you don't know address check this list
  2. Edit your email account
  3. Delete all text from "signature" field to remove signature from your emails.
  4. Save changes

I'm not sure what my login information is for the Nextel  service.

Ask your wireless provider support to email you your login information.

I would make it simpler, but I am not related to RIM neither your wireless provider Smiley Happy
