Desktop Software syncing

Hi, I'm having trouble syncing music onto my blackberry curve 8520

It connects fine to the Desktop Software, when I back it up it works fine, but when I try to sync music onto the media card, it will start to do so and then stop partway through, sometimes it doesnt even manage to copy anything before it stops.

The Desktop software then says "connect your BlackBerry Device" even though the phone is still charging and my laptop recognises it.

I have formatted the card, media card support is on, mass storage mode support is on

my laptop is running on windows 7 and my blackberry has OS v5

Hey jhnhart7,

Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.

Please try reinstall BlackBerry® Media Sync by completing the following steps:

  1. Uninstall Blackberry Media sync from Add/Remove Programs in the control panel.
  2. Download latest version of BlackBerry Media Sync from http://www.blackberry.com/mediasync.
  3. Install latest version of BlackBerry Media Sync.
