Desktop Software Auto-Load

I have desktop software version 4.3 on my PC (Windows XP SP2).  I rarely use the desktop software so want it to open only on my command.  Instead, it automatically opens upon Windows start-up.  I can find no option to turn this off.  I end up closing it manually but this is a nuisance.  How can I correct this?

Re: Desktop Software Auto-Load

This option is not available in desktop manager 4.3. You need to use version 4.5 or 4.6 or previous versions older then 4.3 will do the trick for you. RIM didn't include this feature in DM 4.3!

Re: Desktop Software Auto-Load

Bifocals, DM can be removed from start menu using windows advance start up configuration msconfig. What he wanted is not loading desktop manager each time he starts his windows. Which can be stopped while installig the application in PC. Even after installing the DM it can be removed using msconfig of windows.

Re: Desktop Software Auto-Load

Bifocals has the right idea. All you need to do is delete the shortcut in the Startup (Start > Programs > Startup).
