Thanks for the response.  Here are the settings on the BB:

 

Going to Manage Connections-All connections are ON.  Select Service Status: Voice Services Available, Connection-Mobile Network.

 

Blackberry Internet Service Connection-Not Connected

 

Blackberry Enterprise Server Connection-not connected

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

In Mobile Network Services, Data services is ON.

 

Mobile Network  is CDMA Home Netowrk.  Network Selection Mode is Automatic B

 

Available Netowkrs is CDMA home network

-------------------------------------------------------

Ran the diag test-here are the basic responses

Radio Data Activation: No

Signal level-unkonwn

Radio Access-unknown

Network unknown

IP address-unknown

ICMP Ping Echo-No

(to the BB layman this does not look right)

Attempting to activate the services now.  Will update.

Because you are not connected to data services there fields are empty. The big hitter is neither the BES aor BIS are not connected. DID you do the HRT activation?

I did the HRT after sending the diagnosis.  However, I am not sure what to expect.  The diag shows the same settings.  I have also done the battery removal and reinstall.

No.  I previously had 3 e-mail accounts associated and working, but I have received no notifications to any of them.

Yeah, the activation email does not go to your accounts email account, goes to the device.

 

You mentioned you were traveling, overseas? Some users

miss pushed HRT tables and when they come back they cannot

get a data connection.

 

One other verifier, if you send your self a PIN message can you receive it.?

If you can't either you absolutely have no data connection, or

(even though you have checked, the data plan is incorrectly provisioned.)

 

Either you have a hardware problem with the radio, or the OS is corrupt.

I can send you the correct procedure to reload the OS

What are your thoughts?

Actually I was in the DC area, some may refer to that as foreign territory. :-)

 

I have another BB provisioned for work that uses BES.  I have been able to exchange SMS messages with the BB, both directions.

That is considered the most basic test for data access.

 

1) You can't get data the connection option to enable, and we can't force it

with a battery pull.

2) We can't get an activation message to refresh the HRT tables and we

can't refresh the service books.

 

On the outside chance that data services is actually starting and then closing on startup

It might be worth pulling the battery while the device is on, logging onto the BIS site from the PC

get ready to send service books and put the battery in just before you hit enter.

 

Basically I'm trying to keep from wiping and reloading the device OS.
