Desktop software and windows 8

When I launch desktop software (6.0 bundle 2647), it does not find my Torch 9800.  I am using Windows 8, 64 bit.  How can I sync my Outlook with my Bberry??

Otherwise, I would suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over (though I've no idea how to modify the instructions for Windows 8), and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, but those likely won't work for you given Windows 8. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
