Desktop software for 7280

I just acquired this unit. I mainly want to sync it with Microsoft Outlook for the calendar and contacts. It does not at this time have a sim card.

So I downloaded the desktop software from the site and it seemed to install OK. But I can't find it anywhere on my computer. (Running the dreaded Vista).

In the uninstall programs, I can see it but can't locate an icon or the program to start it up.

Does it need a sim card?

What version software do I need?

Is it even possible to sync this with OUtlook?

Any help would be appreciated.

Best regards

Re: Desktop software for 7280

  1. in Vista, if you just use the search box, search for "BlackBerry Desktop Manager". should take you to it
but under the Programs list it would be under BlackBerry | Desktop Manager
  2. which carrier do you have? some carrier require sim cards (AT&T, Tmobile), while others don't (Verizon)
  3. I'd recommend the latest version 4.6 without media manager.
  4. Yes
