Desktop software

I installed the desktop software yesterday and it was working OK. I opened it up today and it was fine then suddenly stopped working saying it could not connect to the device. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop software but it will not connect. It is driving me crazy! Can anyone advise?: I hope so

Have you tried connecting the device using a different USB cable or into a different USB port?

I have tried that but it makes no difference (unfortunately!)

Advised to take out sim card. wipe with a clean cloth and try again. It appears to have solved the problem.
