Desktop update 7.1 and Bold 9780 - querry

Hi - have the desktop version 6.0 bundle 2949 on my WindowsXP laptop and when updated it to version 7.0 and had major problems when sync the handset and laptop it froze and could not sync with the Outlook 2007 on my laptop and recall the advice on here and deleted the version 7.0 and reinstalled the version 6.0 - now I am getting messages asking me to update to 7.1 but I am reluctant to do so because of previous problems.

 

Please advise  Andrew

maybe version 7 do not meet requirement in your computer, so the computer cannot work well
