Determining water damage (BB Curve)

How are you supposed to determine if a blackberry Curve has water damage? I keep hearing about some white stickers on the batteries and corners of the phone that are supposed to turn a bright red.

My BB is 10 days old, and I'm accused of basically running my phone under a tap to cause damage to it, so my carrier will not replace it.

Ridiculous.

Thank you.

P.S - is there a way to contact somebody specifically from blackberry? Because my carrier is making them seem like they sell cheap phones that break with hand moisture.

Re: Determining water damage (BB Curve)

The WDI are stickers as you were told on the battery itself and inside the device.  The battery WDI is generally rectangular on the edge of the battery.  It is white with a red mark running through it.  If it is all red it supposedly has been subjected to moisture.

The device WDI is, I believe circular and red with  white bar running through it.  I might be wrong in that.  All red is what indicates water damage.
