Device Software Update and Lost Email Account

Hello, did anyone else have a problem with your email account after updating your Bold device software? I just update to version 6.0 Bundle 2949 and I am not receiving any Email and the software does not allow me to access the Email setup! I tried already to restore the phone setup using the restore function of Blackberry Desktop but without succes! Please can anyone help me?!?
