I've got a BB Pearl 8110.
As the disc that came with my BB didn't work, I've connected to the internet and downloaded the Desktop Manager from the BB site.
I've then clicked on the Application Loader.
This gives me two options a) Add/remove Applications and b) Update Software.
Clicked on b) Update Software.
A shaded pop up box Device Connection appears with a blank pin.
The box advises Please Connect Your Device.
i'm connected to the internet.
The drop down box where the pin field is doesn't allow any entry.
The only option is a Cancel button.
So, I click the cancel button and try the other option a) Add/Remove Applications.
Same result as a).
In the meantime, my BB is showing a red light and seems to be disabled.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Checked the USB
Rebooted countless times.
What's worse is you ring Blackberry and they refuse to assist.
They say contact your phone carrier.
Contact my phone carrier and they say its a Blackberry phone and a Blackberry program so go contact Blackberry.
Just no technical support available with Blackberry at all!
