Disappearing email

Have the latest software for my BB Bold (v4.6.0.162) and I use POP email. Have 2 different email addresses set to my BB, and it is set to keep the emails for 15 days. Problem is after a short time the emails disappear. Can be within an hour or sometimes several hours later or a day later. There is no repeating pattern. Have reset my phone / reactivated my email but to no avail. Get the email without a problem on Outlook. Had a BB Curve before and had no problem with emails. Would be grateful for any advice.

Sounds like the device may be running out of memory.

Can you check under Options | Status and make note of your File Free number. Afterwards reset the device by removing the battery and 1 min and replace it and let the device reboot. After it's done check and see if your File Free Number increased.

 

Also in Options | Status, hit your menu button and choose Database Sizes. Which database is the biggest?

 

Also do you have a lot of third part applications on the device that you don't need? If so you can do into Options | Advanced Options | Applications and delete the ones you no longer need.
