Disappearing emails

Hi I have a Blackberry Torch 9800  on Giff Gaff and have noticed that my read emails seem to disappear from my inbox after a few hours even if I don't read them or mark them as unread. I can find my sent emails fine, where do they go?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

 

The most common cause is that you have some other interface (e.g., Outlook client) also accessing this same email account, and you have that client removing items from the email server when it retrieves them. If that email server is capable of reconciling back to the BB those deleted items, then they are being dutifully removed from the BB. Refer to this KB for which email services have this capability:

If yours is such and you have it configured on your device to do so, then check carefully your other systems that also are accessing this email account to see if they are removing the items from the server.
