Re: Do Blackberrys not get Picturemail?

Definately BlackBerry is capable of sending and receiving MMS. Is he/she getting any error prompt? Please let know.

Tanzim,

I think I read where some carriers do not allow this. Do you know if that is correct?

Re: Do BlackBerry's not get Picture mail?

As far as I can recall Alltel doesn't support MMS. And some carrier requires separate plan for sending/receiving MMS.

Tanzim,

I was having the same problem with T-mobile.  What fixed mine was sending a MMS.  Try that and let us know if it works.

Re: Do BlackBerry's not get Picture mail?

I'm not the one who is facing problem its DomH. Anyway Dom's friend is not being able to send MMS. A cross sign appears while trying to send MMS. This could happen if the SIM card is not provisioned for sending MMS. In such case trying to send MMS won't bring any result.

Re: Do BlackBerry's not get Picture mail?

I'm having the same problem. It was working on my 8250, now I've got the 8900 and downloaded the desktop manager it stopped working. I called t-moble and they told me they enabled the permissions which means there's something wrong with the phone. Please help!!!

Re: Do BlackBerry's not get Picture mail?

According to T-mobile's excuse for tech support.. I went in with the same problem on my 8520, it stopped receiving picture messages 2-3 months ago.   The latest is that a Blackberry can't do MMS without a data plan on it.

I was told to disable my wi-fi; because the Web2Go is free internet for all T-mobile customers.  They lie!  following the tech support directions in a matter of minutes my BB 8520 was reduced to a full QWERTY telephone..   with minimal SMS and camera.  I was set back almost 5 years in features.  I did finally get it back to sending MMS.. but I still can't receive MMS, especially since I know t-mobile will only remove features not make the ones we've had for years work properly.
