Do I have to pay for app world separately?

I cannot access app world or any apps, I brought the phone second hand, and I have internet access which I pay for on pay as you go, so assume I can use app world. However, I always get this message 'Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again.' What do I do?

Re: Do I have to pay for app world separately?

Hello,

Please don't assume...ask your mobile service provider if indeed the data plan you are subscribed to includes AppWorld access. It may or may not, but only they can say for sure.

As for the error message, perhaps these will help:

  • KB28188"BlackBerry App World is having trouble connecting to the BlackBerry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again. (Error id: 40820) " error is displayed when opening App World on the BlackBerry smartphone
  • KB29490 The error message "BlackBerry App World is having trouble connecting to the BlackBerry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again." occur when attempting to log into App World
  • KB20031"BlackBerry App World is having trouble connecting to the BlackBerry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again" appears when BlackBerry App World is started
  • KB29249"BlackBerry App World is having trouble connecting to the BlackBerry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again." error appears when loading BlackBerry App World on the BlackBerry PlayBook.

Good luck and let us know!
