Do I need a new battery? turns off at 67%

before I buy a new battery, just want to know if others have had this experience - the phone turns off even though the battery reads 67%. I've had it for more than a year and probably recharged 500 times, but don't want to buy a battery unless i need one. And on that topic - ideas where to buy inexpensive NEW battery? Other phones I bought two batteries when I bought the phone but never really needed them. This time I didn't. I looked on amazon.ca but they seem to be shipped from the US and the that means a $7 shipping charge i'd of course like to avoid. ideas?

Try eBay for your country. Be sure it is a blackberry and not one that you have to put in a coding device they supply. I tried them and it worked at first, looked just like my oem BB one but failed after a couple of months.

yes sounds like a bad battery but once in a while it can be device too

this same things happens on our laptops, once they hit about 40 to 60 the just turn off. New battery most of the times fixes it.

maybe you can find someone local to try theirs first?
