Does not Sync!

Hello,

 

I recently purchased a Blackberry Bold 9700. My only problem with the device is that it will not sync on my Mac. I have the latest Blackberry Desktop Manager installed, but when I plug my device in the USB slot...the device asks if I want to use it as a mass storage device (which shows up correctly in finder if I click "yes")...however, on the computer side, nothing happens. Even if I launch the Blackberry Manager prior to connecting the phone, the Manager stays on the screen that says "Please Connect Your Device" with no changes. I've tried to reinstall the software 3 times already to no avail. I have also tried connecting the device to my brother's windows 7 PC with no problems. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

I've got the exact same problem with my Blackberry Bold 9700 White!
