Double tap?

Is there a way to change my options so that I have to double tap to select things and open applications? I always find myself opening the wrong application or clicking on the wrong thing. Please let me know! Thanks.

Re: Double tap?

hi melissa and welcome to the forum.

i found exactly the same thing as when i was scrolling through my contacts as soon as i touched the screen it would phone the unlucky people in my A list.

somehow managed to find a page in setup that you can change the sensitivity of the touch screen and this has certainly helped. (ive looked but cant find it again though) but if i do ill post back.

the idea of a double tap to open is a great idea though and hopefully someone from BB cuold get it sorted in the next firmware update.

go to setup > options > typing and input > touchscreen sensitivity >

ive got tap interval set to 250

hover period 700

swipe sensitivity 2

play around with the settings which best suits you.

also take a look here where the sensitivity is explained.
