I'm having a hard time finding an answer to my problem. I have a Blackberry Tour 9630 and an Apple MacBook Pro laptop. I am trying to install MissingSync on my Blackberry. I don't have a data plan so I've followed Mark/Space's instructions and copied the folder with the .jad and .cod files to the SD card on the Blackberry. I then go to "Media" -> "Explore" -> "Media Card" -> "bb2" and select the bb2.jad file. Then I select "Download" to install MissingSync. A small window pops up saying it is downloading. Then another window pops up saying "Download Failed". If I select the "Details" button on this popup window it shows "907 Invalid COD". I've spent the last couple of days searching online and this forum and have not found an answer for this. I've created a support ticket at Mark/Space but their tech support hasn't responded yet. It's been a couple of days and I'm not sure when they will.

There are a couple of things that can mean.
1) The install files (.COD) are not compatible with your BB model and OS level. Each app must be specifically ported to each BB model and OS level. It is possible that the developer has not done so, and the versions of the app you have are not compatible. Hopefully they will be able to answer that possibility when they reply to you.
2) The COD files are already on the BB. You'd need to look and see if the app is already installed. You can dig deeper and see if the COD files truly are there, but that's a bit tougher to do. Look in your installed apps list and, if the app in question is there, remove it before installing this new one.
Good luck and let us know!

According to their website when I purchased it it states under "Requirements":
Mac System Requirements: Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later, including Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard
BlackBerry Requirements: BlackBerry OS version 4.2.1 or later, including 6.0.x. BlackBerry Data Plan or SD card required for installation
I am running Mac OS X v10.6.6 Snow Leopard on my laptop and OS v188.8.131.520 on my Blackberry
It doesn't specify that it works only on specific models.
I looked on my Blackberry and the app is not installed.

I've done this myself and the procedure works as outlined on the Mark/Space support site. The important thing is that you copy the whole folder to the SD card and not just the .jad. You said you did that so it makes me suspect that something didn't copy right or fully. I would delete the folder from the SD card and recopy it.

I tried what you said but still the same problem. The issue has sort of taken care of itself. I got so fed up with no response from Mark/Space that I uninstalled everything from my Blackberry and my laptop and told them I wanted a refund. (They currently are processing a refund.) I ended up getting PocketMac for Blackberry and didn't have any problems at all with this. The only thing that I wanted to do was transfer all my information from my Blackberry to iCal and Address Book on my Mac laptop one time. I'm getting rid of my Blackberry and going to an iPhone.
Thanks for everyones help.
