To check available languages for input do the following:
click on Alt and Enter buttons simultaneously.
A popup with available languages should be displayed. If it does not appear - then your device OS is not multilanguage OS.
You have to download and instal multilanguage device OS. Check for it on your wireless provider's site.
If popup appeared but there is no Hebrew language - use Blackberry Desktop Software 4.7 to install this language.
Run BB Desktop Software 4.7 when your device is connected via USB to the computer.
Select Application Loader and press "Start".
Set checkmark on "Hebrew language support" and click on "Next" button.

you cannot type hebrew on the suretype models.............answer solved.
unless you set up auto texts to replace key combinations with pre copied hebrew letters. a real pain...imagine typing alef would change to an א then backspace and type the next letter combination......

I have a US Blackberry Pearl. I would like to at least be able to READ hebrew from my device. I downloaded the "4.7 Download Software" but didn't have the option to add Hebrew Support in the add/remove programs.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had a similar problem, but when I opened the Desktop Manager (version 5.0) I did not get any option to add languages, although this is the multi language version.
Any idea what is missing?
