Drowned blackberry

Hello

Any advice welcomed.

My 13yo daughter who normally has an answer for everything cant solve this problem and neither can i!

A glass of water got spilled and her phone caught some of it. Since then it's not been working. She has tried drying it out with rice but anytime the battery was replaced all that came on was the torch. She got some app to make the camera flash a torch.

The phone could not be started up. She tried draining the battery but since recharging the phone seems completely dead.

Has it had it? She's also been asking for a new motherboard as she thinks this would remedy the problem. I'm thinking of just giving her a few coins for the public pay phone to remedy some of the problem!Smiley Happy

Thanks

How long did she dry it out in the dry rice?

On and off for 4-5 days. It wasn't a sealed container if that makes a difference.

Re: Drowned blackberry

A sealed contained doesn't matter.

"on and off" tells me it was checked here and there, powered up while moist.

Probably fried. I don't know that I would recommend a new motherboard. The LCD screen could be a problem still, as well.

You're probably gonna be better off just buying a used one somewhere.

Re: Drowned blackberry

Thanks for your quick replies. At least the phone lasted for almost 2 months! Think i'll get her brother to cause a suitable accident. Smiley Mad
