Earphones on my Blackberry Playbook

Hi there! I love my new Blackberry Playbook ... except for one thing.  When I plug earphones into the jack, music/sound is cut out, but I can't hear anything through the ear buds.  Yes - the sound is on.

Is there some easy solution to this? I'd like to have it working before my next trip so I can listen to it on a plane!

Thanks!

Re: Earphones on my Blackberry Playbook

Do the earphones work on other devices?

Have you restarted the playbook?

Here is the number for playbook support if it still doesn't work.

Re: Earphones on my Blackberry Playbook

Yes - I have now tried 3 different pairs of earphones with no success. By restart do you mean turn off and then turn on again?  Yes, I have done that too.

Re: Earphones on my Blackberry Playbook

I'm trying to get Blackberry SUpport on my earphone issue.  The 1-877 phone number listed seems to be invalid in Alberta, Canada.   I tried to e-mail and received a form letter type e-mail back that said I had contacted the wrong department, or some such. I just tried to e-mail playbooksupport@blackberry.com

Does anyone know if there's a Canadian help number?  I tried to call Staples where my hubby bought me this gift, but the young sales person was at a loss to help me.

Thanks!
