Email Exchange questions

Hello,

I am new to Blackberry and still finding my way on the setting and configuration world

the forum is very useful and i found many answers....

I just complete to setup my email account (exchange) not using BES (send /receive working fine)

i am having sevral questions:

   1. are there any Push/Fetch setting for emails?
   2. is there a email refresh key? let say i open my laptop and downloded all my email to my local PST (so no emails on the server) but i can still see emails on Blackberry inbox - is it related to Email Reconciliation?
   3. how can I sync my calender? a new meeting/event on my exchange will show up on the Blackberry calender

Re: Email Exchange questions

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

Since you are not on BES, the answers will be much more restrictive than if you were.

For intervals between checks for new emails, no. You can apply filters, though, to block things from being sent to your BB. All reconciliation capabilities will be governed by this KB:

  • KB05133Email reconciliation features for the BlackBerry Internet Service

No. All email is delivered and reconciled OTA only (as per the above KB).

Via USB/BT tethered sync. See this KB:

  • KB17022How to configure synchronization settings for BlackBerry Desktop Manager

Good luck!
