Email Icons

Hello.  The e-mail Icons on my BB used to be an envelope with a red asterisk if there was new mail.  When you read the mail, the asterisk went away.

All of a sudden, the envelope is outlined in red and there is a smaller red envelope where the asterick used to be.   Even after I read the new emails, the smaller red envelope stays red.   Any idea what is going on?   Hard to tell if I really have new mail or not.

Thank you!

Re: Email Icons

Hi,

Have you tried a Battery pull?  It usually fixes such problems.

If  it does not  then go into your main Messages folder then click the Menu key and select View Folders. Go through all of them  to find the unread message that is causing this icon to appear.

Also make sure that you do not have a hidden message icon on the Device.

Also check the SMS and MMS folder.

Regards,

Vikas

Re: Email Icons

Did this ever get resolved? I have the same issue now.
Battery pull did not work.
There are no hidden messages.

Thanks.
