Email Issue on My Desktop

My Blackberry receives emails just fine but I am finding that my desktop does not receive emails at the same time as my Blackberry.  Every time I go to Outlook on my desktop I have something like 300-500 messages (and usually 3-4 days old) that I have to download and delete each time I log onto my desktop.   None of the messages are current.  It appears that my Outlook server is not receiving emails at the same time as my Blackberry.  My carrier is Verizon.


Any help or advice on this issue?
