Once you've got rid of the error screen by restoring the operating system using Blackberry Desktop Manager (plug in your phone, when it says it can't communicate with the phone, click 'update' and restore the operating system), go to http://mobile.blackberry.com and re-validate your email account from there. That method avoids having to update the email setup application that is causing the bug!

Today I tried to go through the update and surprisingly it updated well and had a complete access to email settings, hence, installed all my email accounts were verified and functional.
I called my service provider and obviously they had similar complains and got the problems sorted out with RIM. Therefore, I am sure that service providers should step in to rectify the error or the bug
