Email address for bbm login no longer valid

Help!!!! This is my sons fone, he updated his bbm (?) was asked to enter login details but the email address he used when he first set up his bbm is no longer working (cannot be recovered) I can't go to blackberry id site because the email address doesn't work so it's not like resetting a password. Is there anyway I can put in a new email address?

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.

If your son no longer has access to the email account he used to setup the BlackBerry ID and he does remember the password, he can reset the email address by following the steps in this KB article. "How to change or update a BlackBerry ID username on a BlackBerry smartphone" http://bbry.lv/VkcrS9

If he doesn't remember the password, he won't be able to recover it without access to the email account. He can create a new BlackBerry ID and change to using it on his BlackBerry Bold 9790 smartphone by following these KB articles.
