Email and SMS alert issues

My phone is the Blackberry Curve 8530

1. I have two e-mail accounts set up on my phone. One the one, the red * alert symbol always shows up on that email account's folder, but for the other one the red * alert symbol for new messages shows up on the separate "messages" folder... how do i fix this?

2. I keep randomly receving the message alert symbol (the red *) on my SMS folder, but I click it and i don't have any new messages and all of my messages are read... what's the deal here?

Re: Email and SMS alert issues

If you click on that message /SMS/Email folder that red sign should go away.

Basically Message folder shows you everything all your SMS and Emails for all accounts, although you can configure it to not show there. try OS 5.0 , it is the best to configure it.

Re: Email and SMS alert issues

I have the same issue;  I just set up an email account and saw that everything also goes into my messages inbox.  Can you tell me how to keep them completely seperate?

I get a lot of emails every day and would like to be able to tell my texts apart from them...help!!!
