Email error message

Anyone who emails me gets the following error message, even though I get the email ok.  People think my email is not working.  I have email with hostmonster, I deleted and created a new account.  I deleted and reset my outlook.  And now, I gave up on blackberry (even though I have been loyal for years) and got an iphone....and I still get this bounce back message...I am at a loss.  What do I do?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Well, one thing I believe you proved out was that your BB was not the cause of this problem. Rather, from the message, it sounds like a server-based issue somewhere perhaps at bluehost (or perhaps at some gateway that fproxy4.bluehost.com is attempting to forward the message to, but detailed tracing would be needed, and only the email admin can do that). If they are your email hosting service, then you certainly should ring them up for assistance.

The message is standard...email is a store/forward system, where each email message traverses multiple gateways on it's way between your email box and the destination. Anywhere along the way, something can go wrong and that particular gateway won't be able to send it along the path. The gateways typically retry multiple times before they finally give up and return the result you are seeing. Normally, there would have been at least one notification back to you that delivery is delayed, but that it will continue to try. If this message was the first you received for what you sent, then that indicates indeed something quite fatal in the path (invalid server, host, etc.), but again only the email admin can investigate for you.
