Please clarify...from "unable to activate", I have no idea the exact steps you take nor the results of each step. If there are any error messages, the exact and complete text of those is always very helpful.
Also, are you sure that the message was to "activate" email? Or was it perhaps to "validate" email? Again, precision and completeness help us best to help you.
