I had my BB 8900 approx 6 weeks until it failed (white screen of death), O2 replaced it with a new one which I restored from a backup. Everything transferred fine with no errors.
I have 3 email accounts on my new 8900 but the new message notifications only show in the main messages box and dont show up a marker on the individual accounts, meaning I dont know which account the email has come to until I open the message.
New notification markers are all set to 'Yes' and i've tried switching them off, saving and then activating again but still no luck.

Have you tried a simple reboot? With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
