Enable / disable "Dial from Homescreen"

I have a Bold 9700 running version 6 OS, can someone please advise where I can find the setting to enable / disable "Dial from Homescreen?" I require to do this to let a third party app run when the space bar is pressed. Note on version 5 it was in listed under "Options/ Phone Options/ General Options.

Re: Enable / disable "Dial from Homescreen"

6.0 software no longer has the option for dial from the home screen. Instead it has universal search. When you have universal search on, it does the same thing that dial fom the home screen did, allows you to press some numbers then the green key to make a phone call.

Re: Enable / disable "Dial from Homescreen"

If you are still looking how to enable / disable "Dial from homescreen"... at least on the one day old OS 6.0 on a Bold 9700 - I just found it:

[icon] Setup

Options

Display

Home Screen Preferences

Launch by typing

[select] "Application Shortcuts"
