OK a bit of background-
I had a couple BB's previously...whe I got the Tour, I backed up all of my data to my computer. When I went to the VZ store, they setup my phone for me, including my Gmail account. Once I got the phone home, I noticed that there was a link to download the "Enhanced Gmail" application. I fugured 'why not?', and downloaded it. After it finished downloading, my Tour rebooted and I tried using the Enhanced Gmail app. I got an error message saying "Please configure a BlackBerry Internet Service Gmail account to use this application".
What am I doing wrong?? I thought that Gmail WAS on my phone. I tried wiping the handset, removing the e-mail account from the phone, both to no avil. Then, I wanted to try deleting the Enhanced app and my GMail account from the Tour to start over, but I can't figure out how to do it.....can someone please help me??
Small bump here...I can't find any way to remove the Gmail app from the phone, even via the DM. Is there anyone out there with some help for me??

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Exactly what is this enhanced GMail app called? GMail releases one, but they just call it Gmail (at least the last time I looked). Go to:
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications
That will build a list of all of the apps installed on your BB...this GMail app should be there (or not, if you actually have the enhanced BIS integration to GMail rather than the GMail add-on app)...

Thanks for your help!!! I finally figured that part out....but now that I got it installed without any error message, I don't see it in the applications list, nor did I ever get a pin e-mailed to me...it should be noted that I used this e-mail address before with my previous BB.
The plugin is the Enhanced Gmail Plugin......been some talk of it. Other than that, I don't know what makes it so special.

Ah yes...that's a new part of BIS integration for Gmail...I've not tried it yet myself, but there are oodles of threads about it in the BIS forum:
Perhaps someone down there will have the information you seek.
