Is this a company supplied device or a personal one?
If company provided you should contact your IT helpdesk.
If personal, do you have an active BlackBerry data plan rather than a generic data plan? You need a blackberry specific one to use data services on your phone

Have you tried a battery pull? Remove the battery, wait 30 seconds and reinsert.
As your not connected to an enterprise server (used for corporate email on BES) this will always show not connected.
If you are still having problems you should contact your carrier as they can check for faults on your service etc.
