Enterprise activation BES on a Bold 9780

I have changed from a Bold 9700 to a 9780, I cannot find the enterprise activation on the 9780, it was under advanced options on the 9700. I always end up on the set up e-mail account but although entering the password provided by my provider I have no success, am I in the right place, anyone help please?

Thanks for that, it turned out that the carrier had failed to activate the BES at their end therefore the option list that you gave was not available to me. When they activated then that was indeed the path that I went to to get it all up and working.

Re: Enterprise activation BES on a Bold 9780

I have also just gotten a 9780, and have followed the above steps but I don't have the enterprise activation option? I have also contacted my Carrier and activated BES, they told me to remove the battery and put it back. However the option still is not there

Is there something else I need to do?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated

Are you assigned a BES account from some BES system (typically, your work)? And further has your carrier fully activated BES for your account with them? Both are prerequisites to using the "enterprise" email configuration, and if they are both in place then you need to work with your BES admins and your carrier to resolve it all. But if you are not on BES, then you should not be using that anyway, and instead should be using the Internet/Personal email configuration that should be displayed at the same screen where you selected Enterprise. If Internet/Personal isn't showing there, then contact your mobile service provider to be sure they have activated a proper BIS account for your device.

Good luck and let us know!

Good day Thank you very much. No I am not on a BES at all, and when trying to buy BIS it says I have a BIS account which I don't. I will contact Vodacom to assist me here. Utterly frustrated!!! Have a lovely day

If you are not on BES, then indeed you must have a BIS account properly delivered to your device by your mobile service provider. When properly delivered, you will have "Personal/Internet" added to that email setup screen.

Good luck!
